I searched for this shirt for a really long time and was able to finally get one last spring. Its tie dye, has the seven scope and has tour dates. What more could you ask for? Unfortunately it fits a little weird. If anyway knows or has one they are willing to sell or trade let me know!
I really dont know too much about this shirt. I got it back in November off eBay. The dude I bought it from was the second owner. He was told that it was bought in the early 90s. I am assuming its from the Soulforce Revolution era. If anyway has any info on it please let me know.
This is my favorite 7 Seconds shirt that I own. New Wind is hands down my favorite 7 Seconds record. Possibly 2nd favorite record of all time (right after Out Of Step). This shirt is beat to hell. When I got this shirt in the mail I had it shipped to my parents house. Since I was out of town I had my dad open the package and send me pictures. The text under the pictures he sent me read “This shirt is a rag, but its really fuckin cool.” I’ve been fortunate to have parents who appreciate music and I always attempted to understand why I like the things I do. That text was just a reminder of it. Anyways, the way the colors are printed on this shirt are great. The print is big. Everything about it rules.
My friends Mom fixed up the neck for me and patched a few holes for me. I figured I would wear it for a set. I wore it while we played, got through the set and the shirt was fine. I go to the van to change my shirt since its soaked in sweat and as I a was taking it off a huge hole rips in the back. Bummer. No worries though, why buy shirts if they’re just going to sit in my closet. Nicks Mom said she would patch it up again anyways.
This will probably be the last post for awhile since I have a couple new shirts to take pics of.
I love this shirt. This is actually the third one I have owned. There used to be a store in Fells Point that I cant remember the same of that had boxes and boxes of band t shirt and weird nick-nacks. I dont remember what ended up happening to the one that I bought from there but I was only 15 or 16 at the time. I wonder what I would find if I were to go back at this point in my life and have those same options. There were Suicidal Join The Army shirts, Circle Jerks shirts, and what random store like this wouldnt have a skrewdriver shirt mixed in there (bummer).
Anyways, this shirt rules. Its got all the tour dates. Says “Still Dreaming Wide Awake” on it. So awesome. Weird thing about this shirt is that I have never seen one where the print is actually straight. All of the prints have been crooked on the ones I have scene.
This shirt is obviously a boot but that doesn’t mean its not a great shirt. Positive Force was the label Kevin Seconds did in the 80s and into the early 90s. Put out some great stuff like Token Entry, Verbal Assault and Youth Of Today. The original shirts were on red and Kevin told me one time that there were only about 20 of them that he gave to the dudes in YOT and Token Entry. Apparently he never even got one. I was told that the measurements on this shirt were done to match the original but who knows. I added some awesome pictures related to positive force and 7 Seconds for this special post.
This post is for my good friend Matt McCall. Matt and I go next level when it comes to 7 Seconds. I focus more on the shirts and he goes more with the records. Thats not to say Matt doesnt still have some bangers in the shirt department, in fact, the two shirts in the post were gifts from Matt. So thanks to Matt. After scoping these shirts out you should check out his blog and band.
First we have the classic repeated logo/sevenscope shirt. This is from the 80s probably 85 or 86. The tag has been ripped out. Second we have the Happy Rain tour shirt. Another shirt documenting the massive amount of touring they did in the late 80s and early 90s.
I got this shirt this past summer. Its really beat up and I would love to get another one that its in better shape. Id like to think that this shirt was worn at attendance to some great shows, and thats where the wear comes from. Praise is a great record (I named a band after it so its pretty obvious how much I love it). A lot of people want to hate on this record, but for me, its up there with new wind, the crew and wtrt. The lyrics on it are amazing and still resonate with me later on in life.
“still hoping in a time when its so cool to close our eyes, I am not convinced enough to think the world is through”
Here is an original walk together rock together shirt. I got this last year from my buddy Philippe from Chile. He knew how much I loved 7 Seconds so he hooked me up. He told me he got it from the original owner who got it at a show in Toronto when they played with Verbal Assault. The original shirts dont say Walk Together Rock Together like the majority of reprints you see today.
I am not too sure what era this is from. I am think its from the mid to late 90s post the music the message but before good to go. I am still not sure how I feel about green shirts. The print on the front of this is super think. I wish the seven scope was bigger. Its pretty small and centered on the shoulders.
Edit:
A few fun facts from my man Nate about this shirt:
1. it was purchased at a thrift store
2. it is in the Murphys Law - Up With Us, Down With Them dvd
3. following the filming of that dvd it was in the ER
Here are a couple more recent shirts 7 Seconds printed. The first one I got in 2005 when we met up on their Euro tour. I like this one because its not just yellow on black like that majority of the walk together rock together shirts on. Plus its got a huge seven scope on the back.
The second one is one that I picked up at the React! Showcase last year. To be honest I am not a huge fan of the picture used. I know Kevin and co. are capable of coming up with something way better BUT its rare that 7 Seconds will have shirts for sale when they play nowadays so I had to scoop it up.
